Professor Marcelo G. Koheni avalik loeng teemal „Falklandi saared: iseseisvus, dekoloniseerimine ja rahumeelne konfliktide lahendamine“


14.märtsil 2013 kell 16:00 toimub TLÜ Õigusakadeemias Professor Marcelo G. Koheni avalik loeng teemal „Falklandi saared: iseseisvus, dekoloniseerimine ja rahumeelne konfliktide lahendamine“.
Loeng toimub TLÜ Õigusakadeemias Siili 14 Tallinn ringauditooriumis.Professor Marcelo G. Kohen rahvusvahelise õiguse professor Genfi rahvusvaheliste suhete ja arengu uurimisinstituudis aastast 1995. Ta on Rahvusvahelise õiguse instituudi liige. Tema uurimisteemadeks on rahvusvaheline õigusteooria, territoriaal- ja piirivaidlused ning konfliktide lahendamine. 1997.a sai ta Paul Guggenheimi auhinna oma raamatu „Vaidlustatud omamine ja territoriaalne iseseisvus“.


Professor Marcelo G. Kohen will deliver public lecture on the topic "The Falklands/Malvinas: Sovereignty, Decolonization and the Peaceful Settlement of Disputes"on 14 March 2013 from 16:00 till 16:45.The lectures will be held at the Tallinn University Law School Siili St 14.Marcelo G. Kohen is a Professor of International Law at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1995. He is an Associated Member of theInstitut de droit international. He has worked as Legal Counsel and Advocate for a number of States before the International Court of Justice, and he has been a visiting professor at several European universities. He is the author of many publications in the field of international law in English, French and Spanish. His areas of interest include international legal theory, territorial and border disputes, and international dispute settlement. He was awarded the Paul Guggenheim Prize in 1997 for his book entitled Possession contestée et souveraineté territoriale (Contested Possession and Territorial Sovereignty)."
